Decks and porches

If you need a deck power washed, stained or repaired we have the expertise to accommodate you.  We can also underpin it with lattice.

Here is a deck we power washed and stained. Our client was very pleased with the results. The stain is Behr number 501 dark redwood.  Home Depot sells the stain.

The deck below is one of our lattice enclosure projects.  Our client wanted an access gate under the deck and by all means lattice support structure that would not collapse the first time someone leaned on it.  We used a two by four structure in all places where seams joined.  We drilled and screwed each piece to keep them from splitting. We applied two full coats of Behr number 502 dark oak deck stain.  Home Depot sells the stain and it runs about $150 dollars per five gallons.

Knightdale N.C. October 2007

We had a customer call us about pressure washing and staining a deck that had not been done in ten years.  They started the stain job but it overwhelmed them and they never finished the project. We spent several house pressure washing the algae off .  The following day we put on two coats of stain.  We were suprised it came out as well as it did.  There were some places where the old wood that was exposed faded darker than the stained portions.  The moral of the story is do not stain your deck and not finish what you start.  After the wood fades over time and you pick the project back up you will notice a drastic difference where you stopped and re-started. The top three photos are what the deck looked like after we power washed it.  The last three set of  photos show the deck after we put two coats of stain on it.
